NEW YORK (WNB) - NBC heads are desperately attempting to understand why, despite heavy promotion for last week's guest host Lena Dunham, ratings plummeted on the last show.
The Dunham-hosted SNL with musical guest The National averaged a 2.1 in adults 18-49, down almost 20% from last week’s show, also watched by nobody. The ratings placed SNL just ahead of a Golden Girls rerun, but significantly behind The Knitting Show.
What went wrong? How could a fat, extremely unattractive and untalented actress hosting a horribly written, unfunny comedy show featuring an awful musical group no one's ever heard of not draw viewers?
We may never know.
