NEW YORK (BHN) - The United Nations announced Tuesday that they have appointed North Korea to chair the UN Conference on Disarmament.
North Korea is one of the world's most prolific manufacturers of rockets and nuclear weapons, and a leading exporter of same to rogue and terrorist states.
The move was, not surprisingly, heralded by countries such as Iran, Syria, and China, while some Western members were critical of the UN's selection. Canada's Marius Grinius said: “I understand Nazi Germany was their first choice, unfortunately they had to settle for the second most evil arms proliferator in history."
North Korea’s representative, So Se Pyong, was enthusiastic about his new job, saying he “welcomes any sort of constructive proposals that strengthened the work and credibility of the Conference on Disarmament.” He added, “Also the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will soon rain nuclear fire down upon Canada and the USA, and the piles of smoldering bodies will be so high as to obscure the sun."
My comments: Just knowing my tax dollars are going to the UN for the North Koreans to disarm themselves gives me a warm feeling I simply cannot describe!
