WASHINGTON (BHN) Liberals are condemning the spending cuts included in the proposed legislation raising the debt limit, while most conservatives say the cuts are insufficient.
"Cutting government spending is the equivalent of sending the Jews to the gas chambers," a blinking House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (Demtard-Ca) told reporters. "People will die, families will be destroyed, and life as we know it will end."
Representative Raul Grijalva (Demtard-Az) told an interviewer, "This deal trades people's livelihoods for the votes of a few unappeasable right-wing radicals, and I will not support it." When asked whose livelihoods were being sacrificed, the sweating Congressman stared into space for almost a full minute before replying, "Whoever we're cutting the spending to." At that point Grijalva's head reportedly caught fire.
Meanwhile, Tea Party Patriots co-founder Mark Meckler expressed concern with the minimal spending cuts in the compromise bill, saying, "We have compromised our way into disaster."
My comments: I don't know about you, but I personally lie awake nights worrying about what would happen if somehow Pelosi and Grijalva get together and spawn a child *shudder*....
