WASHINGTON (BHN) - In what must surely be the worse vote of confidence yet, liberals say they will field challengers to Barack Obama in the 2012 primary elections.
"I respect the President but let's face it, he's about as popular as a turd in a punchbowl," said progressive leader Ralph Nader.
Preliminary challengers being considered are Nader, some gay guy who makes balloon animals, a trained ferret, and a ball of navel lint. A White House spokesman called the proposed liberal candidates "beatable, especially if the ferret's not that sharp."
My comments: Yikes! You know you're circling the drain when you're the president and no less than Ralph Nader is threatening to kick your butt!
