SEOUL, South Korea (BHN) - President Obama and Turkey's Islamist prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan have become such close friends that Erdogan is giving Obama advice on raising his American daughters.
The two met in South Korea on Sunday to discuss the situations in Syria and Iran, but also talked about the president’s two daughters, Malia and Sasha, according to a White House statement.
"Prime Minister Erdogan strongly advised the President and First Lady to "modify" the girls' genitals in order to assure their chastity," said the statement. The practice is widely used throughout the Islamic world.
In a possibly related story, there was a brief scare Monday when Obama daughters Malia and Sasha went missing. After a search both girls were found safe, hiding in some bushes.
