MENGZI, China (BHN) - Mysterious fossils of what may be a previously unknown type of human have been uncovered in caves in southwest China.
Scientist have classified the species "Red Deer Cave People" because evidence shows they cooked the now-extinct Red Deer in their caves.
"They clearly had a taste for greasy, fattening food," said researcher Darren Curnoe, a palaeoanthropologist at the University of New South Wales in Australia. "While other primates of that era ate vegetation and berries, this thing preferred the double cheeseburger of the day - Red Deer."
My comments: Yikes! One look at that thing, and I can honestly say I'm glad they're extinct!
