Kerry Lowers The Boom On Putin

WASHINGTON (WNB) - Sec. of State John Kerry finally answered critics on Monday by outlining retaliatory steps the administration is threatening to take against Russia. The statement is the strongest yet from the United States:

In the face of Russian aggression toward the peaceful, sovereign nation of Ukraine, the United States has little choice but to respond in kind. With unwavering resolve, I am announcing the following actions we will reluctantly take, unless Russia immediately withdraws its military forces from all areas of Ukraine:

1. Go to "Threat Level Midnight" in areas near Ukraine.
2. Alert New Jersey National Guard units to be prepared to be vigilant.
3. Expand protection of rights for LGBT military personnel worldwide.
4. Mobilize U.S. air and naval assets in Greenland.
5. Send myself, Sec. of State Kerry, to Ukraine with a personal note of support from President Obama and First Lady Michelle.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called Kerry's threats "a strong message," before announcing a quadrupling of Russian forces in Ukraine, and renaming the country "The Russian Republic of Putin."
