WASHINGTON (WNB) - Sec. of State John Kerry said one of his most pressing goals is to place gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT) individuals in foreign ambassador positions.
"The President and I believe that nothing represents today's United States abroad like an effeminate man or woman with a penis," Kerry said Thursday at a Pride event held in the State Department.
Russian Vladimir Putin issued the following statement Monday in response to Kerry's comments: "Sounds great, we'll pass."
