WASHINGTON (WNB) - President Obama on Thursday reacted with a combination of sadness and relief to news that a Malaysian Airlines passenger plane was shot down, killing 298 people.
Obama told reporters, "It's with a heavy heart that I've learned of the passenger jet apparently downed by a missle over Ukraine. While this is no doubt a tragedy, we were relieved to hear that no Mexican or Central American immigrants heading to the United States were onboard."
