WASHINGTON (WNB) - During a Super Bowl pre-game interview, President Obama boasted to NBC's Savannah Guthrie that he is "the first president since George Washington to make booze in the White House." Guthrie later confided that she didn't want to "embarrass" the President by telling him Washington died a year before the White House was built.
Network sources cited the same reason in their decision to edit out Guthrie's followup question about why the President makes beer in the first place, and his (presumably) joking reference to First Lady Michelle.
