WASHINGTON (WNB) - The arrival of Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the United States has elevated the anger and anxiety of many Democrats to full-fledged hysteria.
The seeds of this situation were planted months ago when Netanyahu accepted an offer to address a joint session of Congress from Majority Speaker John Boehner who was concerned with the Obama administration's secret talks with Iran, and Israel's exclusion from those talks. One Democrat after another has come forward since then condemning Netanyahu in increasingly shrill terms leading up to his visit:
Nancy Pelosi: "Well, for Prime Minister to come over here is a slap in the face to President Obama and this administration. I would think he'd have more important things to do, like bombing Palestinian children or wearing that stupid little hat."
Sheila Jackson Lee: "Mr. Netyenho is doing a grievous dishonor to the office of the President of the United States by coming into this country uninvited. People that do this should be arrested and deported."
Debbie Wasserman Schultz: "I'm so upset I can hardly speak."
Joe Biden: "While I respect the Pope very much, it seems he should have asked the President if it was OK to come over - hey, that's all I'm saying."
Harry Reid: "Who's coming? Does Obama know?"
